Jeremy's Story
Jeremy’s racing journey began at just three years old, growing up in a family deeply rooted in motorsports. Following in the footsteps of his father Joey, his grandfather “Pa” (Junior), and his older brother AJ—all flat track racers—Jeremy was immersed in the sport from the very beginning.
He made his first appearance on March 15, 2008, in Caruthers, California, competing on a Suzuki 50. Despite the minimum racing age being five, Jeremy’s determination got him to the track anyway—confidently insisting he was old enough. That moment set the tone for the fearless drive that continues to define him today.
Jeremy went on to race his quad at local tracks like Caruthers and Tulare Cycle Park, building a strong foundation and sharpening his skills. He later progressed to a Honda XR50, competing in the highly respected Eddie Mulder Series at tracks across California, including Willow Springs, Lancaster, and Lodi.
Even early on, Jeremy’s personality stood out. He was known to occasionally “retire” from a race—not because of mechanical issues, but to make a quick stop at the concession stand—proving that even future racers have their priorities straight.

Life After Flattrack
In 2010, at just six years old, Jeremy stepped away from flat track racing and shifted his full focus to football—where he quickly discovered a new passion and purpose.
He thrived on the field as an offensive lineman, beginning his journey with the Hanford Bulldogs before continuing his career at Hanford High School. Known for his toughness, discipline, and high football IQ, Jeremy became a key piece of every team he was part of.
Over the course of ten seasons, Jeremy and his teammates built something special—losing just ten games during that entire span. That level of consistency didn’t happen by accident. It was built on hard work, preparation, and a commitment to excellence that Jeremy embodied every day.
His dedication and performance didn’t go unnoticed. Jeremy earned opportunities to compete with select teams and attend elite camps across the West Coast, gaining valuable experience against top-tier competition. Those experiences not only elevated his game but also reinforced the mindset that has stayed with him ever since—compete at a high level, outwork the competition, and never back down from a challenge.

Back to Racing
Jeremy’s football journey came to an unexpected pause during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the season was brought to a halt. Still driven by the need to compete, he found a new outlet by helping his younger brother, Andrew, get started in outlaw kart racing.
It didn’t take long for that competitive fire to reignite. After attending his first kart practice, Jeremy was hooked. He quickly set his sights on getting behind the wheel himself and went to work, doing whatever it took to help fund his first kart.
Jeremy made his racing debut on July 11, 2020—a night that tested him right away. A hard crash left his kart heavily damaged, an early setback that could have sidelined many. But for Jeremy, it was just the beginning.
With the same grit that defined him on the football field, Jeremy and his dad rebuilt the kart from the ground up. He returned to the track more determined than ever, turning adversity into motivation.
Since that moment, Jeremy has built a strong presence in the outlaw kart racing scene—earning multiple awards, consistent finishes, and, just as importantly, forming lasting friendships within the racing community. It marked the true return of “The Cali Kid,” and the start of the path that would lead him back into the driver’s seat full-time.

Sprint Car Szn
In April of 2024, Jeremy took a major step forward in his racing career, making the move into the IMCA RaceSaver 305 sprint car class. It was more than just a new division—it was the realization of a lifelong dream. After years of hard work, sacrifice, and determination, Jeremy earned his way into a sprint car, funding the opportunity through his own dedication and drive.
His 305 program is the definition of a true family effort. Behind the scenes, it’s his dad, his best friend Devin, and family friend Doug putting in the long hours—working in the shop, at the track, and everywhere in between—to make sure Jeremy has the best car possible every time he straps in. It’s not just a team, it’s a tight-knit group built on trust, loyalty, and a shared passion for racing.
As Jeremy continues to grow behind the wheel, his goals are clear. He has his sights set on moving up to a 360 sprint car and competing across California against the best in the sport. And true to who he is, he’s not waiting for opportunities—he’s working for them. Whether it’s in the shop, in the seat, or representing his team off the track, Jeremy is fully committed to chasing that next level and turning his dream into reality.

California Dreaming
Since the beginning of his racing career, Jeremy has committed himself to the hard work, discipline, and humility the sport demands. He carries a mindset shaped by his football background—“anyone, anytime, anywhere”—and brings that same relentless edge every time he hits the track.
Jeremy knows there’s always more to learn, and he embraces that challenge. He pushes himself in every situation, especially the tough ones, understanding that the hardest races often teach the most. Whether it’s battling through adversity or adjusting on the fly, each experience adds to his growth and sharpens his approach.
That mindset is what continues to drive him forward. Jeremy is fully focused on building his future in racing, with the ultimate goal of climbing the sprint car ranks. He remains committed to putting in the work at every level—behind the wheel, in the shop, and within his program—doing whatever it takes to keep moving closer to that next step.

The Cali Kid
Jeremy is known by the nickname “The Cali Kid”—a name that carries deep personal meaning and a lasting connection to his roots. The nickname traces back to his grandfather, Augie, a passionate flat track racing fan who admired Nicky Hayden—famously known as “The Kentucky Kid” in honor of his home state.
Inspired by that, Augie gave Jeremy the nickname “The Cali Kid” at a young age, and it quickly became more than just a name—it became part of who he is. Even after Augie’s passing in 2010, the nickname remained, growing in meaning with every lap Jeremy turns.
Today, Jeremy proudly carries the name “The Cali Kid” as a tribute to his grandfather—a reminder of where it all started and the family foundation behind his racing journey. It’s more than a nickname; it’s a legacy he represents every time he takes the track.
