Jeremy's Story

Jeremy began his racing career in 2009 at the age of 3. His dad (Joey) Grandpa (Pa or Junior) and older brother (AJ) raced flattrack, so Jeremy joined the team. His first race was on March 15, 2008 in Caruthers, California on a Suzuki 50. The minimum age to race that day was 5, so Jeremy had to lie and say he was old enough to be on the track!

From there Jeremy raced his quad not only in Caruthers, but also at the Tulare Cycle Park.

Jeremy then graduated to a Honda XR50. He raced the Eddie Mulder Series at several tracks throughout California including Willow Springs, Lancaster and Lodi.

Jeremy was known for "retiring" at the track so that he could hit the concession stand.

Life After Flattrack

Jeremy officially "retired" from flattrack in 2010 at the age of 6. From there he began playing football and was hooked. Jeremy excelled as an offensive lineman. He played youth football for the Hanford Bulldogs and high school at Hanford High School.

During his time playing football Jeremy was invited, and played, with different teams and at different specialty camps throughout the West Coast.

Back to Racing

Jeremy played football up until Covid hit and it was shut down. Looking for something to fill his time, Jeremy started helping his younger brother Andrew with his new hobby, racing outlaw karts.

After the first practice Jeremy wanted to jump in the fun and worked to help pay for his first kart. Jeremy raced his first kart race on July 11, 2020. Unfortunately, it was not very successful. Jeremy hit the wall hard and bent his entire kart. Not being one to ever give up, Jeremy and his dad rebuilt his kart and he got on the track again.

Since then Jeremy has earned a 2021 and 2022 3rd Place finish at the Tulare Kings Kart Club Summer Series.

California Dreaming

In the past 3 years since Jeremy began racing karts he has fell in love with the hard work and humble nature needed to race. He has adapted the saying from football...any one, any time, any where.

Jeremy still has a ton to learn, but he is not afraid to get out there and try. Sometimes it is in those times that you get your butt kicked where you learn the most. Plus, it can only make him better.

This drive is what makes Jeremy determined, and dreaming, for the future!

Jeremy's ultimate goal with racing is to race a 360 sprint car. He will continue to work hard on, and off the track to gain knowledge and personal help fund his racing program.

The Cali Kid

Jeremy goes by the nickname "The Cali Kid." This is a nod to Jeremy's grandfather, Augie.

Augie was a huge flattrack fan and his favorite racer was Nicky Hayden. Nicky was nicknamed "The Kentucky Kid" playing honor to his home state of Kentucky. When Jeremy was little, Junior abruptly named him "The Cali Kid" and it has stuck.

Jeremy will forever be known as "The Cali Kid" to honor and remember his grandpa.
